Privacy: what the enquiry form collects, and why
To value a piece, Anna Diamonds asks for a first name, a surname, an email address and your photographs. That is the whole of it.
This page says what happens to those five things, who handles them, and what you can ask the company to do with them afterwards.
⬜ Manca: la data dell'ultimo aggiornamento. Va scritta qui in inglese, così: «Last updated: 7 September 2026».

What the form collects
Four fields and your photographs. Nothing is taken before you press send.
- First name and surname.
- Email address.
- Photographs of the piece: the whole piece, the hallmark, the stone.
- Notes about the piece, if you want to add any. This field can be left empty.
There is no account to open, no password to choose and no wishlist to fill. A valuation enquiry is a message, not a membership.
Beyond that, the network serving this site handles ordinary connection data — the address your request arrives from — to deliver the pages and to hold off attacks.
- Name
- So the reply is addressed to a person.
- The valuation comes back in writing, and it goes here.
- Photographs
- The valuation is read from these. Marks, cut and condition.
- Notes
- Optional. Where a piece came from, what you already know of it.
Why it is collected
For one purpose: to answer your enquiry with a figure, and — if that figure is agreed — to buy the piece from you.
Under the UK GDPR the lawful basis is Article 6(1)(b): the steps taken at your own request before any contract is entered into.
Nothing sent through the form is sold on, and none of it is handed to anyone for advertising.
⬜ Manca: se le fotografie mandate da un privato possono essere riusate nella scheda di vendita del pezzo una volta comprato, e con quale consenso. Finché non lo sappiamo qui non si scrive nulla in merito.
How long it is kept
Two clocks run here, and they run for different lengths of time: the one on an enquiry that ends in nothing, and the one on the record of a purchase, which a company registered in England has to hold for its books.
You can ask for either to be shortened. See the rights below.
Who sees it
The people at Anna Diamonds who value the piece and handle the purchase.
The site and the form run on Cloudflare, which stores and moves the data on the company's instructions and for no purpose of its own.
No one else is given access, and nothing is published anywhere without asking you first.
⬜ Manca: gli altri destinatari da elencare qui — il servizio di posta con cui si risponde, l'eventuale gestionale o CRM, e chi si occupa della contabilità. Ognuno va nominato per nome.
Where it is handled
Anna Diamonds is registered in England and works in the United Kingdom and in Italy.
Where your data leaves the United Kingdom, it may only do so under the safeguards the UK GDPR requires for a transfer.
⬜ Manca: se i dati vengono effettivamente trattati anche in Italia o da fornitori fuori dal Regno Unito, e con quale strumento (adequacy regulations o IDTA). Da confermare prima della pubblicazione.
Your rights under the UK GDPR
Each one can be used at any time, and using one costs nothing.
- Access
- Ask for a copy of what the company holds about you.
- Rectification
- Have anything wrong put right.
- Erasure
- Ask for it to be deleted, where the law allows.
- Restriction
- Ask that it be held but not used, while something is in dispute.
- Objection
- Object to a use you did not ask for.
- Portability
- Receive what you supplied in a machine-readable file.
- Complaint
- Take the matter to the ICO, the UK regulator.
A request has to be answered within one month. Where a request is refused, the reason is given in writing, together with the right to take it to the ICO.
How to use those rights, and how to complain
Write to the company. Say which right you are using, and name the enquiry or the piece it concerns, so the right record is found.
If the answer does not settle the matter, the Information Commissioner's Office takes complaints directly, and you do not have to write to the company first.

No profiling, and no automatic decisions
This site carries no advertising trackers and builds no profile of who is reading it. Visits are counted without cookies.
A valuation is read by a person, from your photographs. Nothing here decides anything about you on its own.
The one thing this site saves on your device is a note that the bar at the foot of the page has been read. It is described on the cookies page.
The rest of the small print
Two more pages: what this site stores in your browser, and the terms on which a piece is sold.
