Segnaposto: le fotografie vengono dal sito di riferimento indicato dal cliente e sono di terzi. Vanno sostituite con le sue prima di pubblicare.

The other half of what we do

Have a piece to sell? Send three photographs

    1. Photograph the piece: the whole piece, the hallmark, the stone.

    2. Send the photographs, with your first name and surname.

    3. A valuation comes back in writing.

    4. Decide. Until then the piece has not left your house.

Our margin comes from turnover, not from waiting

Anna Diamonds buys to resell, not to hold stock. Every piece goes to one buyer.

The offer follows from that: it is a purchase price, not a retail price.

And a piece for sale here is priced to leave, not to sit in a window.

    Insurance value
What replacing the piece would cost, new, at retail.
    Retail price
A shop price carries the months a piece waits for the right buyer.
    Our offer
Neither of those. It is what the piece is worth today, to us.

Take a second opinion before you sell. A figure means little on its own.

Each piece is bought whole, and sold whole

An old cut and a worn setting are reasons to keep a piece as it is.

Thirty pieces are here at a time. Each one passes through once.

⬜ Da sostituire con le due fotografie della spilla: intatta, e tenuta in mano.

    A tool, free to use

Read the hallmark: what 375, 750 and 9ct mean

Most British pieces carry a small mark inside the band or beside the clasp.

Move the loupe across the three marks, or type what you can read.

Not every old British piece carries one, and that on its own decides nothing.

    FAQ

The things that hold people back.

Do I have to post the piece to find out what it is worth?
No. The valuation is made from the photographs. The piece stays in the drawer.
I have no idea what I own. Is that a problem?
No. The photographs do that work. Marks, dates and cuts are our side of it.
Should I clean or polish it first?
No. Age leaves marks that help date a piece, and polishing them away can cost you money.
My insurance valuation says a much higher figure. Why?
That figure is the cost of replacing the piece new. An offer to buy is a different number.
Do I need to create an account?
No. The form takes a first name, a surname and your photographs.

    Contact

The form takes your photographs, a first name and a surname. That is the whole enquiry.

Everything in writing, so the figure and the piece stay on record.
